Hello Jim,
For VUCC purposes and AMSAT awards you will need paper QSL but for WAS and DXCC LoTW will do it, the bad news is that is not widely used by satellite community, on the other hand eQSL has its own awards.
But anyway from my side I enjoy QSLing as part of the hobby in any way or via.....
73's and good luck

Ps. Qsl rate in satellite community is quite high...in NA

Hi Folks,
I have only recently re-started to operate via the sats after a gap of about 4 years (my last qso was via AO-40!). The buzz is returning!!!
I would be interested to know whether ham operators these days send old fashioned cards via the bureau/direct, or whether EQSL cards are now used more extensively.
If the later, which service is considered the best/most reliable/most trustworthy/etc/ I have come across www.eqsl.cc http://www.eqsl.cc which seems quite reasonable, and I notice that there are some cards waiting for me !!! (I'll be signing up soon, and I'll be interested to see how old they are, etc !!!
