part number need for G550 connector
Would anyone happen to know the part number for the 2 connectors on the G5500 rotor.
I have several of them with the numbers, but unfortunately they're back at home, and I'm out on the ocean. There was a "Group Buy" of these a year or two ago, but I don't remember who ordered them, but it was an AMSAT member who frequents the BB. Maybe he'll chime in here again. 73, Jim KQ6EA --- John Becker w0jab@big-river.net wrote:

Subject: [amsat-bb] 7-pin metal connectors for Yaesu G-5500 rotors

Thanks to Karl Sandstrom for identifying the manufacturer and part number for the 7-pin metal connector that plugs into the motors on the Yaesu G-5500. Nanaboshi NJC-207-PF,
A web search revealed several distributors for Nanaboshi connectors. Advanced Industrial Products of Kentucky quoted a price of $7.94 each, ordered from Japan with a 3-4 week lead time. That's a heck of a lot better than $48.17 each from the Yaesu parts department.
I plan to order two of them for myself. Does anybody else want to get in on a group order?
A small group order probably won't save money. I'm just trying to make it easy for anybody else who needs this connector. Let me know soon...

I'm looking for spares for my Rotator as well, I would like to convert my Yaesu 5400 to work with the 550 connectors so I can swop them over easily. If you manage to find a supplier I need the sockets (x2) and plugs (x2). If you find out please let me know! Also looking for a new pot for the 5500 Azimuth unit and two new plastic covers for the 5400 connections if I cant get the sockets to fit. If anybody knows a source for these parts (But not at Yaesu's prices!!) please drop me a line. 73
