How is the schedule decided? I notice that all of the time where the spacecraft is on, it has just come to Japan. It does not have sunlight by the time it gets here to North America. Does the control station have to turn-on the satellite every orbit? I understand that the battery has failed, so it is my assumption that the satellite must be activated manually by a control station after resumption of sunlight. Is this true? If that is true, then is there some way that another control station in the opposite hemisphere can make the satellite useful over here? Lastly, is there any way that the process can be automated? Thanks,

Hi Auke and Mineo,
I offered assistance from AMSAT-NA Operations several months ago, suggesting we could enable the satellite while over North America as well. I received no reply. Perhaps it is a language issue? If anyone has contacts within JAMSAT or JARL that can assist, please contact me directly at ko4ma@amsat.org .

Hi all,
the same assistance offered from Europe, when the satellite cames from Africa and then pass over Europe and N.America.
Also NO reply. I think JARL does not want any other command-peoples in her Satellite.
The current schedule of FO-29 is also completely drossy for Europeans, as the satellite is "ON" when the pass is over central or North Europe at the.... middle of the night ! I tried 2 times and of course I was just me and... satellite. Nobody else.

Hi all, Regarding the FO-29 operating schedule, I have reforwarded all of your comments on this issue to the JARL
They will respond (I hope) to you in due time.
As for the JAMSAT, I regret but there is nothing we can do because the operation of FO-29 is entirely entitled to the JARL, who is a owner of this bird
