I am trying to setup UISS to do packet on ISS. I can get UISS to come up, but it says that AWG Packet Engine isn't running or at least UISS can't find it.
I have the Packet Engine downloaded, but nothing I do seems to "activate" it to the point that UISS recognizes it.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!!

Drop AGW in favor of direwolf or soundmodem from UZ7HO... (the two of them uses the same AGW interface so the change is painless)
Google it for the download pages...
There are some benchmarks out there that shows AGW isn't the best software modem, and this two are top performers.
In the UISS you must set it to talk directly to the AGW interface via a TCP/IP connection to "localhost", let the port setting as default.

About 60% of the way down this page is a heading titled "Packet Operations" within which is a link to a paper under a sub-heading titled "resource" which includes information on using UZ7HO Soundmodem and UISS. The AGWPE information comes first in this paper. When I found out that the UZ7HO software is definitely working better I added an appendix at the end of the paper.
(Note this paper is a couple of years old but a lot of it still provides some useful information.)
