If you would like to keep track of me when I'm roving, feel free to send me a request to follow my Twitter feed, which for satellite operators I will approve promptly.

My account (@K7ZOO_Rover) is not published to the entire Twitterverse. This differs from others, I know, but I would prefer not to broadly advertise to the entire Twitterverse the dates / times roving -- because it also advertises when my residence may be unoccupied. I realize this constrains the information flow through certain paths, but again you may follow my feed directly.

But why protect the account?

It defeats the purpose of allowing people to easily see when/where you are roving.... it also makes it impossible for services like @GridMasterHeat @The_Grid_life to re-tweet you.

I've done quite a few portable ops and now plan to add satellite roving to my list of activities. I created a Twitter account which will be used to share information on only my satellite roving. No pictures of food that I've cooked, 3D printer projects or dogs -- just satellite roving :)
