This is a bit 'geeky' but may be useful to any cubesat builders reading the BB.
Freescale have a nice video on You Tube showing their new ultra low voltage DC-DC converters being used to charge a Lithium ion cell.
From a single solar cell with an onload voltage of just 349mV they are
charging a lithium ion battery at 3.82V at 63mA with about 83% efficiency.
