MP3 streaming of Shuttle Audio?
Does anyone know of a good MP3 audio feed of the shuttle mission on the web?
I am looking for one so that I can put it into my list on my media server here. The Linksys Media Link I have only will do MP3 files.
Thanks,
James W8ISS

Vince and James:
I think this is a better answer only because they regularly change the last part of these URL's.

The original poster's issue was that he has a device that plays the worldwide defacto standard for streaming audio -- an MP3 stream.
NASA has kindly seen fit to only offer up RealAudio/Video, WMV, and Quicktime formats, and has left the most common format in the world out.
Our local ARES group does an MP3 stream of our repeater system here locally, and we have "much" of the Shuttle Audio up throughout the timeframe when the astronauts are awake, preempted for local Nets and traffic. I offered the OP the link to that in private mail, but I didn't want to post it to the list, as since it's not our club's server (it's run by one of the ARES guys), I didn't feel comfortable having everyone on AMSAT-BB "try it out", with the resulting bandwidth issues.
It wouldn't be too hard to transcode one of NASA's streams over to MP3, via sending it up to a Shoutcast server, etc... I won't volunteer at this time, but if I get a chance (other more pressing things to get done for our club), I may look into setting that up on a server that's set aside for ham use here locally that has at least 10 Mb/s to two backbone providers.
Would be nice if NASA did it themselves, though...

If someone has the stream available, I can provide the bandwidth. I already have an icecast server up and running.
