Please join us this weekend, September 27 th and 28 th for our first live international broadcast of the National Hamfest from Newark, England. This is the United Kingdom's largest Amateur Radio Rally (hamfest).
The rally is sponsored by the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB), hosted by the Lincoln Shortwave Club, RSGB’s club of the year, and the video feed provided by the Sheffield Amateur Radio Club . This will be the fourth National Hamfest held at Newark. It keeps getting bigger and better each year. During the National Hamfest you will see major vendors with their new equipment; used equipment in the flea market area; and interviews with special guests. As always, y ou will have the opportunity to meet and chat with other ham radio operators from all over the world in the W5KUB.com chat room.
During the past year, we have had over 40,000 viewers follow our broadcasts. W5KUB will not physically attend the National Hamfest but will work with members of the Sheffield Amateur Radio Club. The club will use their new GX3RCM trailer (previously the RSGB G4FUN trailer) that they recently won. This trailer will be used to promote amateur radio.
