Delighted to report that the voice message appeared at around 11:13 UTC with good signals – no QSB also a short packet burst at 11:15 UTC – just at the very end of my pass here in the UK.

Yes it will ne ON during the 6.30pm IST pass. The sequence is as below on 145.870 FM

1. Prerecorded audio message

2. APRS Beacon on 145.870 post which payload will switch to 145.825 for 1 minute for APRS Digipeates (Via ARISS)

3. SSTV transmissions (10 Images) starting with PD120 next image with Robot 72 and alternating.

This entire sequence will repeat for 15 minutes.

2. Are the audio message, APRS and SSTV transmissions in sequence during the same pass? Is SSTV in PD-120 format?

BGS ARPIT - an Amateur Radio payload jointly developed by SJCIT, UPARC (Upagrah Amateur Radio Club-VU2URC) & AMSAT-INDIA was launched on 30th December 2024 by India's PSLV C-60 launch vehicle. This payload is fastened to the last stage of the PSLV engine. This spent last stage of PSLV is often used as an 'Experimental Platform' called 'POEM' (PSLV Orbital Experimental Module). This is the 4th such experimental module.

Since 31st December, BGS ARPIT is made 'ON' only over India and we have been receiving very good and encouraging signal reception reports,

Today, for the first time, it is decided to turn it 'ON' over Europe and keep it on for a while.

We request our Amateur Radio fraternity over Europe and along its footprint path to look out for the signals. We would greatly appreciate the signal reception report.
