Don't use the "tuner" portion of your KCT/T. Just connect a null-modem serial cable between the FT-847 and a serial port on your computer. Then go in the SatPC32 Setup -> Radio menu and specify the port number, radio model, and baud rate. Be sure to specify a matching baud rate in the FT-847's menu #37. 57600 baud is best.
The FT-847 requires a "null modem" serial cable that swaps pins 2 and 3. I don't know why Yaesu didn't wire the CAT connector to use a straight-through serial cable.

Maybe they don't understand the difference between DTE and DCE????
