I use PCSat32 with two radios, an Icom IC7000 for 2m and a Yaesu FT-857 for 70 cm. (I use this particular setup because the FT-857 doesn't respond to the tone settings when in FM mode on SO-50)
This seems to work, it correctly assigns selects the proper radio for uplink or downlink and band.
The problem arises when I try to run AO-7 in mode A. PCSat assigns the FT-857 to 2m and the IC-7000 to 10m which means I need to move the 2m antenna coax to the other radio. (both radios have a separate coax connector for the 10m antenna.)
Is there a way to fix this 'feature'? If I change the order of the frequencies in the Doppler file the radios get assigned properly but the Doppler corrections are of the wrong sign.
Thanks, Tom, NH6Y
Tom the program supports the sub tone function of the FT-857 for woking SO-50. If you configure the Icom as Radio 1 and the FT-817 as Radio 2 the 817 will transmit on 2m with FO-29, SO-50. Choose SO-50 and click the control T to T1 or T2. A little "T" will appear in the display. The program will correctly set the 67.0 and 74.4 tone frequency on the FT-817. In menu "Radio Setup" check (only) the option "Autom. Rx/Tx Change" With VO-52 and AO-07 mode B the FT-817 will then work as RX, so you can leave it at the 2m antenna.
To work AO-07 mode A use a second "Configuration" (menu Setup). Configure again the Icom as Radio 1 and the FT-817. Leave all options unchecked. With AO-07 mode A the Icom will then receive on 10 m and the FT-817 will transmit on 2m.
