Thanks for that info, Roy. Perhaps what I have heard in the past was some sort of telemetry coming from NO-84. Is it also sending a data beacon?

If the PSAT packets are shown as "PSAT-1]APOFF", then all it sends out are beacons (with embedded telemetry info, more info on Bob's website, aprs.org ).
If the packets are shown as "PSAT]APRSON", then it will send beacons, and occasional friendly messages, as well as digipeat (use "ARISS" as path). If you send a message directly to "PSAT" (while it is on), then it will not digipeat it, and instead will eventually respond with some information about the next AOS (I think, it's been a while).
It's really a neat satellite.
