Re: MESAT1 Transponder ON for testing 0135utc 24 Aug 24
Hi All
On a 29deg pass over ML88lj at 14:20Z, I copied my own CW signal on MESAT-1. Wow, what strong signal coming through the sat. I have attached the recording.

Hi All, I would love to try this today or tomorrow. Does anyone have resources or links I can review on how to actually listen? Programs, etc.? Apologies for the basic question. Best, Andrew

Heard you all on that pass. This is exactly the type of testing and feedback we’re looking for. Thank you! Keep it up.
The transponder is on over all locations, so our international ham friends should please test as well!

WOW !! It sounds great. Worked WA4PGM, W3FGP, and K8DP this morning on the transponder. Strong downlink, my MaxE was 23 degrees. Wish it stayed up a little longer, but very exciting. I also called CQ twice on CW (wanted to be the first, hi hi) but no takers. LOTW needs to update its Satellite Name list to include MESAT1. Will have to wait to upload. 73 de Charlie KB8CR

Around 0135utc tonight we commanded ON the transponder onboard MESAT1. Quick test QSOs between Drew KO4MA, Paul N8HM, and me (N8MH) are encouraging. Chris G0KLA monitored telemetry using FoxTelem during the pass. All indications are good. We hope that the satellite health continues to look good through the testing. We expect to continue the test through the weekend. Please use the transponder while it is on! The frequency information is: * Telemetry downlink: 435.800 MHz 1200 baud BPSK * Transponder uplink: 145.910-145.940 MHz * Transponder downlink: 435.810-435.840 MHz You can read more about MESAT1 here: https://www.mainesat.org/mesat1/ Happy testing!
