Not to belabor the point, but I see satellites as a different animal from ionospheric DXing. I am a newbie to the operating and station-building skills required to fully appreciate the depth of this part of the hobby, but I would hesitate to let your experience with HF or VHF DXing taint your experience using a flying repeater.

I’m very excited for both, but don’t judge one aspect of the hobby I enjoy against the other.
