Hi!
Paul Stoetzer N8HM, an AMSAT Area Coordinator who is currently giving a presentation for the HacDC Amateur Radio Club in Washington DC, will be on the upcoming AO-73 pass at 0130 UTC (2130 EDT) tonight to demonstrate amateur satellite operating for the club. He will be on the air from the rooftop of the building where the meeting is taking place, a church in northwest Washington north of the White House. If you are along the east coast, please get on and give N8HM a call.
To (hopefully) ensure N8HM is able to make a QSO on that pass, I will also be on the pass from my very portable station outside the church. Two stations on a satellite pass from Washington DC! :-). Apologies for the short notice of the demo tonight.

Thanks putting the notice out, Patrick.
I did work KB1PVH and heard AA1UE call me, but the noise on the rooftop was pretty bad. Sorry if anyone else was trying to call!
The crowd was pleased with the demonstration despite the poor signal to noise ratio.

Paul, N8HM

Paul,
Although I could not hear my signals through AO-73, I heard you work KB1PVH and heard AA1UE in CW. My audience was impressed with how you were getting through, and making contacts with your setup.
Your presentation was also very good. Thanks again for the heads-up. It was a great way to spend a Wednesday evening.
