Slightly OT: Preliminary mishap report for Mars Global Surveyor
NASA has just released their preliminary report on the Mars Global Surveyor failure earlier this year. Food for though for those of us who worry about spacecraft (and software) reliability. Ammunition for those that hate to put computers on board!

The report says that the spacecraft operated far longer than planned and the final failure was due to human error.
