The modes change was not scheduled until 0650Z, but due to some unforeseen circumstances didn't actually happen until 0830Z. I verified that it was on at 0915Z. It was a low pass, but I hear W3AO calling, but they did not hear me.

The usual FD Critical Task Detector kicked in, taking out my 2 m side until this morning. (Two years ago the elevation rotator died.) Got it working, and worked W8QLY on V/S. Probably my only QSO for this year, due to other commitments. Heard W5IU and a couple of other stations on with the usual excellent signals.

That's great to hear it was working. After getting up at 5AM to make sure the scheduler had worked, and set a value to make sure it kept working, I was sound asleep during the next pass. If there were two QSOs, that'd be as many as I heard on the V/U pass I listened to last night.

This was my first time ever running V/s portable. I was working with the W1MOO crew in VT.
We used a K5GNA AIDC with front mounted dipole and little corner reflector. It was handheld for the entire pass. FT-817 IF. Worked 3 stations with excellent signals!
