Who says the amateur satellite hobby is dying?
I was one ham's first satellite contact two nights ago on FO-29 and I was almost a ham's first satellite contact this evening on VO-52. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done. Plus, I haven't been on the birds for very long myself.

Hello Paul,
last week I've started my satellite activity, at the moment I've done 9 contacts on SO-50 and FO-29. Yesterday evening I've tried to work VO-52, I was able to hear me back, but I've only 5 watts on the uplink.
This is my station on the balcony:

So I confirm our hobby is not dying, I'm another Ham in space.

Hello Paolo,
I see that you use the same antenna than I do (from vpa-systems.pl) here is my portable satellite setup:

Hope to hear you on the birds soon. Welcome to the satellite world!

Uauu Eric, this setup is very similar to mine. I've found that the vpa system antenna works well, the only complain is that it's very robust but at the same time a little bit heavy. So hear you soon on the satellite, hoping more birds in the future.
