I am copying a very strong carrier on AO-7 as I write this... 435.106MHz , no signs of modulation. Planet Emily latest reports show the transponder might be off... I didn't listen for myself... have to swap co-ax, but I was busy trying to figure out if the carrier were definitely the old girl, or Informator-1/RS-14 which were both directly overhead and whose dopper-shifts were similar at the time... I confirmed it to be definitely coming from AO-7. As I push "send" the carrier is still clear at 3.5 degrees over the north pole...

It was in mode A, as could hear my CW signal come back to me. Also heard W5QEP with a strong signal, but he never heard me call him. Isnt the propagation just fun on 29 mhz?

I probably would not have heard it then even if I tried... I don't hear well on 29MHz ;) Is it known to beacon on Mode-A?
