What is the current market value for a Yaesu FT726 with the 2m and 432 modules, and the satellite board installed? It is in good condition, with the hand mic and power cord, but no tone board installed. Or is anyone on the reflector looking for one?

My first Sat radio was a FT726. I remember fitting a generic tone board, not a big deal to do. What one is now worth? I haven't a clue...

Likewise. Great rig for HEO and pacsats. A bit pricy, but you can get a nice PL tone decoder/encoder from Piexx.

How about a Hamtronics TD-5 Subaudible Tone Module. Notice that you use dip switches to set the tone, How quaint! I think the 726 has a rubber cover thingie that fits the top cover that you can remove to access the dip switch...

I think that is what I used, not sure as it was 15 years ago...

I just realized that it is already time for the Timonium Hamfest in Maryland. As it is too late for me to setup the AMSAT booth I will ask if anyone from AMSAT will be there. I will volunteer to help man the booth on Saturday. Let me know here.

Hi Jeff,
Pat Kilroy, N8PK, is planning something. Here's part of an e-mail he sent to local lists a few weeks ago. Contact him at patrick.l.kilroy@nasa.gov .

I am preparing for the Greater Baltimore Hamboree and Computerfest / ARRL Maryland State Convention at the end of this month. See the official web link above.
So far, I am flying pretty much solo, but I have some big plans that I think can be pulled off without much sweat. Could use a hand or two. The basic plan:
I have TWO tables reserved for an AMSAT booth in the Exhibition Hall, not far from the main ARRL booth. I will drive down to AMSAT HQ on Monday or Tuesday, March 22/23 to pick up the AMSAT goodies. (Spoke with Martha last week.) I will set up on the Friday night (March 26) in Timonium.
I have two one-hour forum slots to fill on Sunday morning for AMSAT. I invite YOU to talk if you wish, and then I will backfill the remaining time with a Microcontroller- based simulated satellite project that AMSAT beginners will be sure to enjoy. It will culminate in a small balloon launch, not unlike what Bob Bruninga did years ago except that the “flight modules” got smaller and more powerful!

I sold one about 18 months ago for $500.00. It had 6m, 2m,430-440 mhz band units, sat board, after market pll board, mic, manual, and service manual.
