Pocketqubes Launch Opportunities
Those who are developing or plan to develop and launch their pocketqube satellite in the near future, I inform you that there are launch opportunities for the period Q3 2023 and Q2 2024, using SPACE X service with FALCON-9 rocket, using a pocketqube deployer.
Those who are interested answer by private.

Unfortunately, US-based organizations cannot take advantage of this opportunity since the FCC will not authorize satellites of less than 10x10x10 cm.

I think you 're mistake , since at least two of the first four pocketqubes released in 2013 were from the USA. And, what about SWARM satellites 10 x10 2,5 cm ?

The SWARM satellites did not receive authorization due to their size, but the company launched them anyway. The FCC has not approved any satellites smaller than that since this date and has amended the regulations since then to make it very difficult for any satellite of less than 10x10x10 to receive authorization.
Technically, if you can demonstrate why your satellites would be trackable despite a smaller size, you can get authorization, but for a university or amateur group, I suspect the burden of proof would be difficult to meet.
Note that I use the term "authorization" rather than "license" since technically amateur satellites do not receive a license from the FCC (the license is the responsible operator's individual amateur license).

Spare a thought for your poor cousins here in the UK. The last University satellite registered as a UK space object was launched in 1990 and owned by The University of Surrey.
We can only dream of such easy access to space. :( 73 David G0MRF

Hi Gustavo,
I have been involved deeply with the MIR-SAT 1 MO-112 project.
I am now working on a school project for the 2nd 3B8 bird with a large Polytechnic Scholl in Mauritius (still in infancy), As we have very limited financial resources a pocketcube may be more feasible.
Could you please send me some more details about the 2024 Space -X deployment?
For sure cost is the main issue for us, any estimation of same? but also some basic info of the proposed possible orbit, altitude etc.. would be quite useful to check the opportunity.
