NASA TV is reporting that the rocket's fairing did not separate, and therefore it will not have enough velocity to enter orbit.

That's a tough row to hoe for those university students. I'm sorry it happened too. This is the second fairing failure in a row on the Taurus; I'd guess we won't see it fly again for a while, until they are damn sure to have fixed the problem.
