Hi,
I am still learning to work with satellites.
I am looking for an up to date list of operational amateur satellites with the working frequencies etc.
I looked at one the Amsat page and the last update was 9th April 2006.
Can anyone tell me a site that is more recent.

Ignore that date...it only applies to when the general form of the page was updated, not the information within. Several of us update that page each week.
The Weekly Satellite Report is emailed each week and is available by subscribing at http://amsat.org/mailman/listinfo/ans
I also like to check http://oscar.dcarr.org/ for last minute reports.
Good Luck,
Drew KO4MA

Wondering if anyone can suggest where they got their fiberglass elevation supports for antennas from?
I have a friend who is looking for longer pieces than I have for a project and I can't find any of the info that has been mentioned on the -bb over the years. Probably just not doing the right word searches.
Thanks,
James W8ISS
Try MaxGain. Do a google search. They are ham friendly. - Duffey On Nov 1, 2008, at 9:07 AM, James French wrote:

James,
If your friend has lots of money, M2 has a heavy duty split design with a metal section in the middle to allow you to really tighten down on the clamps.

There are other ways to accomplish that with less expensive hollow booms.

If anyone wants one of these (or at least the metal and fiberglass bits), unused, I have one sitting here that I'll sell for 1/2 the M2 price (plus shipping).

Steel tubing works great, and is readily available, strong and cheap. You can find the details here:

Just a suggestion: Try wood dowel rod driven inside a schedule 20 PVC pipe. These items should be available locally wood is several times stronger than steel PVC protects the wood.

I looked at one the Amsat page and the last update was 9th April 2006.
I think that date on the page is false. The list is good lately.
