received my new 3000 mah windcamp li ion battery for my FT 817.It arrived with NO instructions.Online instructions say to turn off new little switch on nEw cover plate while charging.It also says LED on wall wart is BI COLOR.Red while charging,green when done.Mine is always green .Anyone else experience this !thanks ! Stupid question: Have you discharged it?
Thought a new battery charger was bad one time. Wasn't charging. Battery was charged. No charge needed.

My battery came fully charged. Yes turn the switch off while charging. Protects the radio. Also shut the switch off when not using the radio. Saves battery drain
