I have worked a lot of portable/handheld stations lately and have a hard time determining their county based on grid. Is there an online convert tool to go from grid to county?
Thanks,
Mike

Since a grid is 1 degree of latitude by 2 degrees of longitude that is going to cover a lot of counties in a single grid. Even going to the 5th and 6th place there can be several counties involved.
For example, my grid is EM12px. However, that grid identification involves both Dallas County, Texas, and Collin County, Texas. Just a little west of me in EM12 there are 3 counties involved, Dallas, Denton, and Collin Counties. Going a little farther west the counties would be Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant.

You might try using SatPC. It allows you to click on the map and then displays the grid as you move the cursor. Maybe you can get close using that method.

Resend using my correct mailbox. You might try using SatPC. It allows you to click on the map and then displays the grid as you move the cursor. Maybe you can get close using that method.

Mike,
Here is one site that might help you. After you click on the big block, ie EM, a second smaller map will pop up. Run you mouse over it to see the actual square.

I am still looking for another site I found in the past where you just type in the gird number and it will take you to it (anywhere in the world).
I hope this helps a little,

Hi again Mike,
Here is the other website.. http://f6fvy.free.fr/qthLocator/fullScreen.php
go to the bottom and type in the "four" or "six" letter grid and it will take you to it with a blue border around it.
