Setting memory frequencies for FM satellite operation
Is there a computer program that will compute a table of time, azimuth, elevation for a given satellite and station location for a set of Doppler corrected frequencies (both uplink and downlink) in user-specified frequency intervals.
For example, SO-50
TIME AZ EL UP DOWN 0959:00 10 34 145982.17 435165.53 1000:00 44 46 145980.66 435170.05
but where the frequencies are in user-defined increments of 2.5 or 5.0 kHz.
This would simplify choosing frequency memories for handhelds and when to switch memories when operating FM satellites.

I used to run Linux with predict
Perl code would connect to the predict server port
Then adjust the radio accordingly
Having said that there are some Windows programs that track satellites and control your radio

I've always followed the instructions in the manual for my FT-817 for programming and labeled the memories in accordance with the key points in a pass: AOS, TCA, and LOS. Once I'm on a bird, I simply switch between memories when the downlink starts sounding a bit fuzzy.
