I had AO-51 all to myself this evening on the 0101utc pass 08-May-2008. V/S mode sounded great on the downlink with a 67 deg max elev pass here in Houston. Uplink was 145.880 MHz. I called for almost 10 minutes and heard no one else on the bird.

Worked 3 stations tonight on AO-51 V/S. Tested out a new Mode S antenna and setup since the move. I hope that AO-51 will be in this mode on Field Day. I wish that AO-51 would be in this mode 1 week out of the month. It is a nice change.

Since we're talking about "good modes" another good mode is when AO-51 has it's 2nd repeater active. It very much resembles a V/S pass crowd-wise. Normally 5 operators on there, tops.
