Howdy,
A while ago I seem to remember a discussion on availability of the small push on RF connectors used inside the FT-736R to interconnect boards. These same connectors are used in quite a few radios. They were a crimp on style.
Anyone remember the source?
Tnx

Hi Mike, N1JEZ
I don't have a FT-736R but if the small push on RF connector plug is female and the jack is a male they probably are SMB connectors normally used also by HP to interconnect the modules inside the instruments.
Look here to see in the catalog pag H-17 if they really match the type you need.
http://www.rfmicrowave.it/pdf/connettori.pdf
If so you can find the SMB connectors with easy in USA
I remember many interesting contacts with you on AO40 mode L/S and the AO40 S1/K test early 02/23/2003............when the new P3-E ?

Hi Domenico,
Yes a long time since we made those contacts. I still have all the 24 GHz receive equipment. The system has been upgraded with a 2 foot dish with circular feed and 1.3 dB nf preamp.
I also have 47 GHz equipment ready.
I can't wait for P3E.

Hi Dave and Mike
It seems to me that is not correct only Europe is working for the salvation of hamsats producing P3-E
Actually we have a new flock of 10 microsatellites built by the Universities worldwide with the contribution of their governements and private industries.
Actually the Universities are requesting assistance to all of us hamsats to collect TLM for their experiments but to do it we hamsats are using our own equipments in wich we have invested a lot of money.
I wonder if the the above Universities are donating or not some money as a contribution to AMSAT to get P3-E a reality for us.
