I've been enjoying SatPC32 for quite some time running on an old HP PIII running Windows ME. It suddenly started to create problems. Now when I open the application it takes control of my FT-847 through CAT port but the main map/control screen never opens, however, the application appears below in the applications bar as though it were running. It also fails to call up the FodTrack DDE client. Any suggestions or has anyone encountered similar problems? 73 Rick W2JAZ
Hello Rick, could it be that the program window is positioned outside the visible part of the screen? Try the following: The program saves the screen position in the aux. file SatPos.SQF in the SatPC32 program folder. The file can be edited with Notepad or another editor.. Line #1 contains the vertical and line #2 the horizontal screen position (in pixels). Set both values to 0, save the file and restart the program. The program window will then be positioned in the upper left corner if the bug was caused by that aux. file. When you move the program window on the screen the last position will be saved if you terminate the program with File | Quit.
