Following up on the 9612 and IC 910 problems: The diagnosis is the IC 910 had a problem, possibly caused by lightening, which damaged the FET that provides PTT ground from the KPC 9612. I've sent the KPC to Kantronics and the IC 910 to ICOM for repair. The 9612 Plus is a current product and Kantronics will repair them. ICOM service centers still repair the IC 910 but the person at the Washington center indicated they may not for much longer. This is too bad because in my view the 910 is still a great satellite rig.
