I plan to be at the Charlotte NC Hamfest this Friday and Saturday, and while I won't be doing a full-blown AMSAT info table, I've decided to have a few AMSAT/satellite related things at my flea market table at the last minute. (I most likely won't be doing demos since I'll be there by myself.)
One item that I'm planning to print is the Fox Operating Guide, and looking at the AMSAT website just now, the 2018 version doesn't reflect the current status of AO-85 nor Fox-1Cliff (AO-95).
Should I just draw a line through the info (without obliterating the info entirely) for those two birds on the second page of the sheet, and only fill in the details when someone asks why they are marked out? I don't want them to try to listen for signals which aren't there! :-)
And, how should I classify the status of AO-85 if someone asks - "Currently unavailable?" "Currently out of commission?" I'm just looking for the best (and briefest?) way to express its status.

Good afternoon Phillip,
I'm the author and maintainer of the Fox Operating Guide. This is usually updated in time for the Hamvention so not much had been done for this year as of yet.
I changed the AO-85 status to include, "Intermittent operation as battery condition allows". And, AO-95 status says, "Beacon active only at this time."
The high and low resolution PDF files are available on their links at: https://www.amsat.org/station-and-operating-hints/
The Operating Guide is getting to be a bit dated but that's what there is at this time.
Sometime there may an updated guide - Fox-1E is coming but we're not listing that with these FM satellites anyways. It is time to update the publishing software too ... these Fox Guides are made with the old software (Adobe InDesign) that made the AMSAT Journal back around 2012 or so. Maybe move to an open source publisher.
Hope you have a good time at the Hamfest!
