Hello all.
Here's an announcement that seems to have slipped under the radar.
Kiwisat would appear to be a mainstream AMSAT spacecraft with a lot of interest for everyone. It appears to be on the Russian launch manifest for May 2007

On first examination that doesn't appear to be THE KiwiSat being developed by AMSAT-ZL - it looks more like a cubesat since it's being launched with a group of them When I talked to Ian at the Symposium he was talking more like a 2008 launch for their satellite. But who knows - things change quickly these days.

Hi Dave/Guys, 'Fraid not! I don't know where that came from but KiwiSAT will certainly not be flying in May or any other month in 2007. There was some "KiwiSAT"/ "KatySat" name confusion earlier in the year. It could be associated with that. Whilst progress on KiwiSAT is extremely good - and a new web page/progress update will appear within the next few days - we are looking to late 08 at the earliest for our launch. Believe me - you will get chapter and verse from us as soon as we are ready to start fund- raising for a launch........!! Very best 73 Fred Kennedy ZL1BYP KiwiSAT Project Leader for AMSAT-ZL
