Hi All,
My wife and I are planning a cruise to the Caribbean this winter. I was looking at Carnival since some of you have posted about using radios for satellite contacts while on board. As I was reading the "Carnival Corporation Prohibited Items https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4090 " list I found this line; "Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB), ham radios, satellite phones, transformers, lasers and laser pointers". With all the heightened security these days I figured they had decided to add ham gear to their list. As I was reading the "Exemptions and Other Considerations https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2261 " list I came across this line "Ham Radios/Amateur Radio Equipment: Permitted to be used on board". At the bottom of the page was "Was this answer helpful Yes/NO", I clicked on "No" and a box popped up asking for an explanation. I pointed out what I found and asked which line is correct. I will post their answer when I get it.
