Greg, all of my entry's for crew active have been for the scheduled ARISS contacts for this past week.
BTW I was noticing the crew active logged by others have been in the category for the SSTV. I realized that since that is the frequency you would hear crew on the downlink, I switched to logging 'crew active' to that category versus my previous on 'FM repeater' log.

Hi Christy,
Ah, ok. I guess I was letting my hopes get ahead of me in terms of live crew contacts, but I'm still a little puzzled about your report. I've been watching the scheduled ARISS contacts for ones which include our area (CM98) in the footprint so I can let our local club know to listen in, and didn't think there were any. Where were you when you heard the crew?

Hi all, It is very rare that any crew-member gets on to make a general QSO. The only thing I can suggest is to listen and see what happens. It is sort of like fishing. One never knows. The crews are super busy and that doesn't leave them much time to play on the radio. The public voice downlink frequency is 145.800 MHz FM and has been that frequency from the beginning. Depending on your region of the world, the public voice uplink frequency is 145.200 MHz FM for Region 1 and 144.49 MHz FM for Regions 2 and 3. And don't forget that the cross-band repeater has been pretty active. I am always posting the upcoming schedule to the AMSAT-BB. The next scheduled contact is happening next week with a school in Ohio. Contact time is about: Thu 2022-04-21 17:13:09 UTC with a max elevation of 44 degrees from the school's viewpoint. The SSTV events are pretty much in automatic mode. Once the crew starts the transmissions, it is on its own. Of course there are times where they will stop and restart the transmissions due to school events, docking/undocking, and EVAs. Again 145.800 MHz is being used. Make sure you notice what mode is being using for the SSTV transmissions. Hope this helps. And a reminder, please see if a local school, scouting group, museum, etc. might be interested in applying for an ARISS contact. Go to ARISS - Home for full details. If your school gets selected, then you can have the fun of making an ARISS contact and helping the students. So far I have mentored 83 schools and have been the control operator for 5 of them; always a lot of fun. 73,Charlie Sufana AJ9NOne of the ARISS mentors In a message dated 2022-04-15 12:07:57 Eastern Standard Time, jean.marc.momple@gmail.com writes: Dear all,

Great I saw the reports on the AMSAT status page too and got a little excited but it did turn out to be the unusual number of ARISS contacts in a short period of time due to the AX-1 mission. So you weren't the only one.

It has been a very busy week for ARISS. We have had 8 schools since Monday. Five of the schools were telebridge via the ARISS ground stations in Maryland, New Hampshire, Australia, and Italy. The remaining 3 were direct contacts from Germany, Israel, and Russia. Six of the contacts were with Axiom crewmembers; I believe they are scheduled to undock on the 19th. 73,Charlie Sufana AJ9NOne of the ARISS mentors In a message dated 2022-04-15 14:49:24 Eastern Standard Time, johnbrier@gmail.com writes: Great I saw the reports on the AMSAT status page too and got a little excited but it did turn out to be the unusual number of ARISS contacts in a short period of time due to the AX-1 mission.
