I'll be making the attempt to work AO-51 for the first time this afternoon beginning 11sep2007 3:23 UTC using a vx-6 ht and an arrow antenna. Hope to QSO with some of you. If successful please QSL. I'm good in the callbook.
Thanks KG6KQT, Eric

I believe that AO-51 is in 1.2/2.4GHz mode this week. Since it's your first, I'd hate for you to get too frustrated hunting around for that 70cm signal.
You can always try for Oscars 50 and 27 until this weekend.

Scott NW2S
Thanks for the heads up. This one is almost directly overhead tonight. I'll look at the others and try for AO-51 when it resumes 2m/70cm operation.

Hi Eric,
Nothing heard on the 03:24z pass, which went nearly overhead here in central Calif. Is that the pass you are referring to? I swapped feed antennas on my dish over the weekend; wonder if I misaligned it?

AO-51 is in mode L/S this week, except for one pass for a ham club demonstration tonight (0016-0144UTC). You might give AO-27 or SO-50 a try until the 14th when AO-51 returns to normal V/U mode.

Good Luck!
