I noticed today that SATPC32 failed on downloading keps from AMSAT.
I found the URL had changed to http://ww2.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/keps/current/nasa.all
(www was changed to ww2)
Is this a permanent change? Maybe this was in response to the rebuild post hack?
Mike
Mike,
You are most likely right about the cause. I will check with the folks doing the rebuild about the duration. Thanks for reporting this.

Tnx Alan. It's a pretty simple change to Celestrak.SQF in SatPC32 to get back on track.

And don't forget to change it in all of your configurations. I had to change it at 5 different locations. Now all is again well in kb2m/satpc32 land...

Anyone using the PocketSat3 App for Iphone etc.., will likely have to do the same thing.
Import Data ----> Edit -----> Tap AMSAT.org's Keps (do not tap the Red "X") -----> Tap the URL Field, Change WWW to WW2 in the URL Field -----> Tap Done x2 then try the Import Data feature again.

Hi,
I will suggest that people hold off a few hours before making changes, unless absolutely necessary. There have been similar forwarding problems with other AMSAT services which were quickly fixed. Let me get a reading on this.

Mike I looked at your new link for Amsat keps and I notice that they are for Sep 12. How often does Amsat update their keps ? 15 days seems a bit dated to me, but maybe its not. I wonder how does the placement of ISS with these keps compare to http://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=25544 .

ww2 addresses are all temporary. For the last couple of weeks, keps have been served from the future home server of www.amsat.org.
I have turned off the "redirect" to avoid problems with clients that choke on it.
Thanks to everyone for your patience through the transition to the new server. There may be a few more issues over the next month or two, if anyone sees anything working particularly badly, please don't hesitate to mail webmaster@amsat.org ... that way I and/or other folks that can attend to the problems can get right to fixing them.
