Al, I don't know what time you are referring to on AO-51. The first pass on the west coast (01:04Z) was OK, Had exchanges with KE5GDB and VE7VW with no problems. Good pictures both ways.
The second pass was completely quiet. I called on voice several times and sent CQ pictures with no reply
I did hear some Spanish voices in there a couple of times, and a couple of other unidentified voice transmissions.

Lots of noise on AO-51 prevented me from getting clear download of pictures. Did get two that were clear enough to see they were from WP4CNU and KB2HSH. Several interfering carriers came on several times during SSTV transmissions. Anyone who is copying pictures please let us know if we are getting through. Copies of pictures would also be appreciated. Don't know if I succeeded last night or not.

John,
I am referring to the pass at about 23:25Z which was possibly too low to the east for you. I am sending my pictures in a handheld operation and don't have the ability to have an actual exchange with anyone. Looking forward to trying again and perhaps getting some feedback if anyone copies my picture. I am juggling an Arrow antenna, two HTs and a VC-H1 to get my pictures sent and to receive and record the pass.

I'm glad to hear someone copied my image! I was juggling an Arrow Antenna, 2 FT-60's, and a laptop (which was on the side of a table outside) all while trying to keep the receiving FT-60 close to the computer mic; and when transmitting, key up the computer and the HT hand mic at the same time while holding the mic next to the computer speaker.
It did seem however that there were several images sent that were WAY too quite to receive. I did my best to get mine in loud, but I know Sebastion's (W4AS) sent an image that had audio too low to decode.
Very interesting mode, especially for us with the hand held stations.
