Re: Charles trying SSTV, but stuck
On the last ISS pass, Charles reported the batteries in the VCH1 need replacing.
Congrats to John/K8YSE for snagging him.

Saturday April 4, aprox 15:00 UTC, Charles on was 145.800 during an east coast USA pass. It sound liked he was talking to Goddard in Maryland, no call signs were hear during the 5+ minute conversation. A portion of the conversation was dedicated to battery status of the VC-H1 communicator. I was mobile at the time and did not record the conversation. It seems Charles was concerned about the battery consumption of the VC-H1 and did NOT want to run the VCH1 in automatic mode. I also got the impression that there was not a large supply of used batteries for the VH-H1 (requires 4 AA batteries). Did anyone get a recording of that pass and have a better view of the conversation.
