Frank, K4FEG was a great friend of HAMS and AMSAT. Over the years, I looked forward to our QSOs and was greatly saddened to hear of his passing.
God bless Frank and his family.

I just received the sad news that my friend Frank, K4FEG has become a silent key. Frank mentored my in satellite operations many times and I will miss him dearly. Please keep his wife and family in your prayers at this most difficult time. RIP Frank. See you on the other side.

Scott,
Frank wasn't a friend of AMSAT! In fact he hated AMSAT and that's why he started his own private little group. I have attached a screenshot of an email from him so you can see in his own words how he felt about AMSAT.
I actually think it's pretty ironic that people are mourning his death on the AMSAT bulletin board.

Please remember Frank was no friend to AMSAT or this community. He proudly displayed his 'former AMSAT number' on his Bio everywhere he could, he formed his own organization with the motto of "F$#@ AMSAT_NA!" , encouraged rovers to not QSL people he didn't like, and at one point made a real life death threat to fellow operator because he was upset about his grid chasing style.
I pass my condolences to Frank's friends and family, and I wish no harm nor ill upon anyone. But let's remember who Frank was before lionizing him on this Bulletin Board.
