I stopped by the local ham store today to buy the TH-D7A(G) but was told they were out of stock and it had been discontinued. Has anyone heard of its replacement and have any info ?
I was thinking of getting this to start working the Digital birds.
Thanks, Ron KA4KYI
I just checked the AES website, and it has a "*" after the listing indicating it's discontinued. Perhaps Kenwood is working on a new one to go with the TM-D710? Jim KQ6EA

That's kinda what I thought. Unfortunately, going to Dayton this year isnt an option for me, so I guess I will have to wait to hear what announcements will come from others that will be there.
Thanks, Ron

Actually, I'm getting worried about Kenwood overall. At last look they have 2 HF radios, 4 mobile radios and 4 portable (HT) radios available, 3 if the TH-D7A(G) has been discontinued. From what I heard they had very little to offer at Dayton last year and this year could be an indicator on what's up for the future.

Anybody looking for a TH-D7A(G), Ham Radio Outlet told me they still have plenty on hand. The person I talked to said he hadn't heard of anything about being discontinued but also stated that doesn't mean it has occured.
