Fred, I did the same thing on FO29 ~ 2000 z today, and heard no one besides myself!!
And I was looking at a good chunk of Mexico, all of the Pacific states, western third of Canada...all of Alaska, a big chunk of Eastern Russia
What in the world has happened to the ham satellite community in the USA and Canada?
And AO51 was designed to promote hamsats!!
Let us not make that mistake again..

AO-51 is always very crowded when in V/U FM mode, so I think it's doing a pretty good job promoting satellite work. I think this shows that FM satellites are just more popular then SSB ones, which, if you think about it make sense considering the amount of 2M/70cm SSB equipment versus 2M/70cm FM equipment.
Perhaps we should focus on getting more FM LEOs aloft to distribute the load from AO-51 and continue praying that AO-27 wakes from it's slumber.
