I have begun building a 12vdc Az /El rotor for portable operation. The target use is moving lightweight EME antennas. The rotor has good torque and accurate incremental encoders mounted directly to each rotation axis. The rotor is slow but still fast enough to track the ISS.

The rotor weighs 16 lbs.

I don’t provide a controller but I list several compatible controllers including the open source K3NG controller.

Yes they are pretty proud of all their products and show it by the price tag, but the RFinder folks have been announcing their portable AZ-EL rotator system. I expect that some of you folks who have a few more available bucks than I will want to jump on this. They still show it a s Pre-order though. They also seem to indicate that one of their radios will also do satellite, with polar plots and I suspect frequency adjustment capabilities.
