I am new to sat work. I have been working on setting up my station for sat work. However I have been having issues with the tracking software, that being that it does not seem to have all of the birds loaded that are current and I don't have a list of the active birds. I have tried to edit the file and find that is not working well either. I am just wondering if there is a good source to find a current file so that I can add it or copy and paste what is needed for the current information. The program is Satpc32 registered, so once in it should be good to go. LOL
I am trying to get things worked out so that I may have the correct info for tuning my radio and let the software work with the radio to help tune the rig for doppler effect some, however if I don't have the frequency and modes correct for them in the file it makes all this work useless. Just trying to get some help somewhere so that I may try to work some of you folks here on list.
I am one of those areas that there are not many to work either.
Location is: Maine Grid is: FN53
Any good help would be useful. Thank you in advance.

I’m not sure if you received a private response but I have a similar issue. I tried to use SatPC32 the other day and found many of the satellite frequencies were not correct. I’m going to have manually edit a bunch of them unless I can find someone with a good set of files.

Perhaps these messages from the amsat-bb from a few weeks ago might offer a starting point?

Good stuff, Joanne...thanks
One thing, though, that I have never understood, however: Does SatPC32 properly update keps and the sqf data when the 'update' option is used in the program? Or do we need to keep updating manually. I can understand with a new sat, manually trying to find the right data, but after the sats are rolling along for a few weeks the normal sites that identify keps usually have that data current.
Thanks for any input

OK, Now I am at a loss here for a little bit. Several folks have sent their Doppler files to work with, however, the next thing is when I look at the file at some of the sat's I see that there is 3 different sets of data for some depending on the sat. At this point I am not sure what to do about this and if it is normal to see it that way depending on the install. The next question is there a good source for finding the correct frequency and mods list for each bird that I can edit things to where they could be for what they are? I would like to thank all of those that have sent information to me for this and I will continue to look things over and see what the workarounds might be to fix what I am seeing.
Thank you. Jim N1IPA
