Is it possible to decode digipeats and transmit digipeats to io117 without elaborate equipment such as the icom 9700 but just a dual band vhf uhf transceiver with adequate output power on uhf and a simple 440 beam or ground plane antenna all manually positioned?

What software do I need to be effective?

Hi Samuel, Is it an all mode rig? Up & downlink on Greencube is 70cm USB, and requires a good receive setup for best operating enjoyment.

I plan on getting on there again soon before it goes SK.
