Hi folks, i reloaded my Satpc32 program and did all the setup for radio and rotor etc( I use LVB tracker). Now when I start the satellite program I get a message saying “could not open Port 3) I checked the port and it says device working properly. Anyone know what I may be doing wrong?. Tnx in advance. 73 de Scott VE6ITV
Scott, before you go too far why don't you try putty or hyper term and connect to port 3 and move the antennas just to make sure everything is where you think it is and it is really working... if that works then double check your port and gs-232 for interface settings under rotor setup, and then also check serversdx setup and make sure everything looks correct there also.

With the windows task manager make sure you have got serversdx running as a hantom process, this will happen sometimes if SATPC32 has terminated abnormally. You can kill it with task manager, or just reboot your machine.
As suggested in prior email, testing port with a program like hyperlink is a good idea also.
