Does anyone have pinouts for the Icom IC-910H's C-IV port? I'm hoping to fashion a USB-to-serial adaptor for it, rather than buying Icom's expensive little box. I'm concerned, though, because it looks like it uses a mono plug, so I don't know exactly how it communicates.
TIA, Rick
It's a mono bus - just data and ground.
If you have a couple of transistors and diodes sitting around you can build at least a one way interface, I put one on a bit of PC board and it works great for both programming my 208h* and for controlling my 475.
*208h programming port is the right side of the audio output jack, rather than the center pin as in C-IV jacks

Hi, here is the link for the manual which has the schematic in it...
http://www.icom.co.jp/manual/external/transceivers/CT-17.pdf
it transmits and receives on the same line so you can get collisions

Rick,
If you want to build your own CT-17 box, see www.cqham.ru/ci-v_icom.htm . I built the version by G3VGR which is near the back of the paper, and it works flawlessly between my old Compaq laptop and my IC-821 and IC-901.
