PSAT2 - 1st DTMF 2-way Contact & 17 Unique users to date
Looks like PSAT2-1 DTMF log shows first 2-way DTMF contact between N3CRT and KN2X QSO numbers 86 and 87. See APRSAT http://www.aprsat.com/dtmf
And a total of 17 unique DTMF users:
LW2EE,KI6TSF,KE4AZZ,N3CRT,NN2K,N6AJ,PY5LF,PI6TSF,KK4YEL K3CRT,KN2K,YD0NXX,P3CRT,F5VKV,KE6BLR,2E0CRV,AB8SA
Though N3CRT, P3CRT and K3CRT are probably the same person.
Since recovery on 26 April, PSAT2 appears completely healthy. http://aprs.org/psat2.html

So I have tried this several times this week with no success. I went to the page link to on the Psat2 Page to get an appropriately formatted DPMF string generated, pasted that into my programmer for my D 72 and have tried multiple times transmitting it to the satellite. I have never gotten a response back. Last night I changed from doing it 5 watts barefoot, to 25W but still no joy
Tone length and spacing are the default for the Kenwood D 72, are there any other tricks from those who have been successful that I could try?
Not even hoping here for a two way, just to get the satellite to recognize that I’m there.
I suspect that I’m not alone here in my inability to make it work.

I will compare that string with what I generated and put in the memory When I get home from work this evening. I will look in the menus as well to see if I can modify the tone duration for a memory play out.

Remember, for DTMF success, your transceiver must be in narroband FM mode Otherwise the distortion fails to decode.

Tom, I've not had any luck with my D74A either. I used my 9700 on narrow band tracking the doppler with an indoor Arrow Antenna. Not clearly but I'm fairly sure I heard my call (recorded it but it's not good) and a number but it is not showing up on the User DTMF Grid/Msg page. Probably a different call I guess.
My call showed up in the DTMF bulletins, but am not sure what that page signifies.
Very new at this, any help would be appreciated
Jerry N4DJC

That means any IGate in your footprint did not hear the APRS report of that DTMF.
My call showed up in the DTMF bulletins, but am not sure what that page signifies.
It means that the satellite heard your DTMF uplink.
Bob
Hi Bob,
Yes I was experimenting with the QSL reply "40" message and I first QSL's my own message 85 and then heard Ray KN2K. Audio with dead air removed here: http://n3crt.net/sat_recordings/2021-05-06_2126_PSAT2_NO-104_APRSTT_KN2K%208...
I have noticed the call sign errors in the stations heard list: http://n3crt.net/sat_recordings/2021-05-05_2143_PSAT2_NO-104_stations_heard.... Could this be due to memory issues on the satellite where the station list is stored? For the times I have gotten a QSO# and received the packet back, I have not noticed it coming back as K3CRT or P3CRT.
