Hi Guys,
I have recently acquired the Yaesu G-5500 rotator to install & build a satelite station. My query was this; I'm thinking of buying the LVB Tracker via AMSAT, to connect to the Yaesu indoor AZ/EL controller - can anyone on the forum confirm if / what external cables / cabling are supplied with the LVB tracker to connect it to the Yaesu indoor unit ?
Many thanks for your help here...
Regards
RH / G0TKZ
The USB mini to standard and the rotor cables. Great set up. K4AMG Memorial Amateur Radio Club, Inc. (K4AMG.org) using it with the AMSAT Program.
God Bless

It comes with the right cable. Just plugs right in with no problem. And it is powered from the Yaesu controller

Bad part is you have to wait forever for them to appear anywhere for sale. I have been waiting maybe 6 months now for the AMSAT store to have some.
Hi there !
Many thanks for the update & confirmation - appreciate that ! :-)

Hi,
The LVB trackers are put together by some very dedicated volunteers who do them as time permits. There is normally a block ready for Dayton each year, with a few left over for purchase on the AMSAT Store afterwards. Also, every now and then a few will be available on the AMSAT Store through the year, so it doesn't hurt to check periodically.
