Hi Folks, I am trying the bird on: 9k6 BBS and Telemetry. Does it work? With the MSPE I can just receive numbers like:
B:44253341
What does it mean? I am trying to request the DIR on 1268.700 MHz, but I do not get any response. On the upper side of the MSPE program often I can read:
Frames Heard from PACB-1
I am asking this because I would like to see if my system still works. Is there any other Bird that I can use the 1.2 GHz Band? Any help will be really appreciated Thanks in advance.

Enzo,
It is definitely harder to access on the L uplink than on the rarely used V uplink, but it does work. It requires significantly more ERP, and you may find that it works better either approaching or receding due to SC antenna location.
Many of us have found 1268.703-1268.705 MHz to be a better uplink. Also, some rigs/transverters can be off a few kHz at that frequency, so it would be worth trying slightly different frequencies. Step it up or down 1 kHz at a time and see what you find. Make certain your deviation is correct. You are usually better off to be a bit low than high.
Finally, what TNC and interface are you using? Some seem to work better than others in this application.

You can guess my question... Is UI digipeat enabled?
It is definitely harder to access on the L uplink than on the rarely used V uplink, but it does work.

You can guess my answer...
Yes :)
We make every attempt to keep the digipeater ON when the BBS is on. In fact, I think the default from a full reload of the satellite is DIGI ON.
