After reading the article in the new issue of QST I’m interested. I’ve been a SatPC32 user for many years but this new device is intriguing. I’d love to hear from any users about your experience with this new controller.

I am still learning the radio part, but the antenna part works great. No issues. Mike

TrakBox lives! Back in the day I wanted a TrakBox really bad. It seems like S.A.T. Controller is a re-creation of that really cool item.

It was one cool device!

Hello everyone,
I’m a newbie to the amateur satellite scene (got licensed less than a year ago) but I’ve always been intrigued by it.
I’m actually developing a project that has similar features to this, although it is aimed primarily at portable use. I was having a really hard time making QSOs on linear sats because of having to adjust two radios at the same time so I made my own tool and with it I successfully made my first QSO on RS-44 just a few days ago.
Even though it only has a fraction of the features of S.A.T. it is completely open source, uses off-the-shelf parts (just a raspberry pi, an lcd screen and a mouse) and it does not need a separate device to work.
The link to the project is https://github.com/giordyb/doppler_shifter https://github.com/giordyb/doppler_shifter, I’m sharing it with you with the hope that someone in the amateur satellite community might find it useful.

P.S. I rewrote the whole thing from scratch a few days ago to take advantage of the lcd screen therefore the instructions are not completed yet.
